The 4 Keystones Of Successful Ecommerce Brands

Strong Leadership

This is true for any business; a well-led company is more likely to be successful. But it’s not about position or titles, it’s about inspiring trust and motivation within the organisation and leading people towards a common goal.

One Focus

The great thing about having one focus is the unity it creates within your team, and even more so when you’re able to communicate that vision with customers. It encourages them to feel like they are part of something bigger than themselves.

Customer-Centric

You can have the most amazing products, the most amazing website, and the best marketing tool in the world, but it won’t work unless you prioritise your customers. The experience you provide your customers is what will turn them from one-time visitors to evangelical fans of your brand.

Insists on Excellence

Don’t try to be a master of all trades. Create a business that you are passionate about. When I started Beast Gear, I was scratching my own itch. I looked at my training equipment and thought to myself, “I can do better than this.” And I did. I enjoy sports, so I know what it’s like to have high-quality fitness equipment. I understand my customer’s desires because I am my own customer.

Conclusion

Every company has its own set of strengths that contribute to its success. These are some of the foundational pieces you can adapt to your business, especially if it’s new. You may have already implemented these, but if you haven’t, I challenge you to do so. Making it big online is more difficult with so many competitors, but remember that you’re in control of your success. When used correctly, these tips can transform an ordinary business into an extraordinary one!

Why Should I Listen To You, Ben?

I built, scaled, and sold an international 7-figure e-commerce business. Now I’m doing it again with several new brands. I consult with e-com businesses to help them get clear, take control, and scale. And I co-founded Ecom Brokers — the brokerage by e-commerce people for e-commerce people.
